This session will offer a starter tool-kit of exercises and activities for use with a mixed-ability primary ensemble.

We’ll begin without instruments and look at ways of using the same material on instruments at all levels of technical ability.

We’ll think about repertoire and playing with and without notation as well as exploring practical matters such as room layout and the importance of bass!

There will be time for attendees to share questions about their own specific settings.
