Thetford Voices, the vocal outreach programme of Thetford Music Project are celebrating their tenth anniversary and are now booking for:
Celebrate with Songs August 8th & 9th Two day course for 6-16 yr olds: beginners and experienced singers welcomed to learn sing and perform some memorable songs in the party spirit.
Toddlers’ Hour for 3-5 year olds. Tues August 8th 10.00-11.00
Mixed Voice Harmony Session for 15+ to young adult. Tuesday 8th 4.15 – 5.45
Main Course runs from 9.30 – 3.45 on Tuesday and 1.30 – 8.00 on Wednesday with closing concert for friends and families at 7.15. All workshops in the Williamson Hall, Thetford Grammar School.
Main Course £10 for two days (£5 for a day); additional courses £3 each.
Sarah Skinner leads a team of regulars and guest song leaders on the Main Course for 6-16 yrs olds in this Anniversary Year. Songs are targeted to groups within the age-range so beginners and more experienced singers will find plenty to enjoy – big choruses, comedy numbers, action songs and singing in parts. We’ll really be celebrating your enthusiasm and talent on the way to our closing concert for parents and friends on Wednesday evening.
Tuesday 8th sees the popular Toddlers’ Hour for 3-5 yrs old, from 10.00- 11.00, while later that day, from 4.15 – 5.45, Polina Sosnina guides young people through a mixed voices session for older singers (15yrs+) who will also perform in the concert.
Fully supervised by a DBS validated team, the course runs over two days: from 9.30-3.45 on Tuesday 8th August and 1.30-8.00 (with concert at 7.15) on Wednesday 9th August.
