The New VIP resources & YuStudio software has been developed in extensive consultation with KS3 teachers – here are some much requested new features!

  • Students no longer need to export and upload their tracks – as a teacher you can easily listen back to all your students work from your account and leave feedback on their projects. This means listening back to everybody’s compositions from the whiteboard at the end of the lesson is now fun and easy to do!
  • Much clearer, more reliable, higher quality software – designed specifically for education. Students & teachers we are speaking to are saying it’s a dramatic improvement.
  • We’ve added iPad support and a smartphone version is coming soon.
  • You can now edit music to videos online in the DAW allowing film projects etc…
  • The sounds library now contains much  improved content, up to date sounds young people love and full accapellas which can be dragged and dropped onto your compositions, easily allowing things like remixing projects in the space of a one hour lesson. One producer pack even contains loops from a former Essex student (Snarl) who has gone on to work in the music industry – a real success story for VIP & Essex Music Hub. You can now also remix the Grime Opera with a competition coming soon.
  • Improved VIP tutorials which go into more depth whilst staying easy to use for first time producers and composers. They also now include a full list of outcomes achieved by students following the tutorials.
  • All resources now fully integrated with the Yumu platform – makes it easy to share projects and templates with your groups as well as track & assess work.
