This year we are again partnering with Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association, Big Sky Creative, Access Creative College, Play Produce Promote, Pica pica, Pica pica! and Norjam to bring you NEW NOISE! Battle of the Bands 2025.
Sign up below and upload two audio tracks – our expert panel will listen to every track and select 15 bands and artists to perform at our NEW NOISE! Battle of the Bands at the Royal Norfolk Show on Thursday 26th June 2025
The winners of this years Battle of the Bands will be offered the chance to perform at Norjam 2025 on the 10th August 2025 with further support prizes to be announced.

What are the categories?
- There are two categories:
- Soloists of any contemporary genre
- Bands of two or more people of any contemporary genre
Can I perform cover songs?
- New Noise! focusses on original music-makers, but your welcome to submit one cover
How can I submit my recording?
- You can upload your recording here or post a link to your performance
How many songs do I need to submit?
- We request that you submit 2 songs, at least one must be an original song
Do I need to submit a video recording?
- No, you can submit either a video or audio recording, this does not need to be recorded professionally
When will I be advised if I have been successful in securing a performance slot at the Royal Norfolk Show?
- You will be contacted by Wednesday 30th April 2025, whether you have been successful or not in gaining a performance slot at the Royal Norfolk Show
How do I get my tickets for the Royal Norfolk Show if I am successful?
- If you are successful, we will be in touch and organise for your tickets to be sent direct to you. Tickets will be limited to the number per group plus up to 3 supporting adults only along with 2 complimentary car park tickets. Further tickets will be available to purchase direct from the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association
How long will I need to play for if I am successful in securing a set at the Royal Norfolk Show?
- We’re after a set of four songs, no more than one cover and lasting for no more than 20 minutes. You’ll also get 5 minutes to set up and 5 minutes to pack down
Will the PA and back line be provided for me?
- Yes
Who will judge the performance at The Royal Norfolk Show?
- This will be judged by industry professionals with written feedback offered to each act
Will the performance be filmed and available for each act?
- Where possible, we will share any footage of your performance with the lead contact for each band
Can I apply if applied last year?
- 100%. We would love to welcome back artists and bands who performed at last years BOTB
Any students under the age of 16 will need to apply for a child performance licence if they are not attending with their educational setting.
