In 2021 Emily Barden worked with young people from across Norfolk to create a Norfolk anthem which was premiered at our Secondary Vocal Celebration earlier this year.
We would like to start the new academic year by asking as many Norfolk educational settings as possible to practice and record young people performing this anthem. We will then create a performance video of these submissions, which will be available for you to share with your friends and families. Norfolk Music Service’s Symphonic Wind Band will also be joining us as the accompanying band for this memorable project and will feature on the recording.
Please note:
- You can choose to either submit an audio recording only of your educational setting singing the piece and the name of your educational setting will be displayed in the end credits
- You can choose to submit still photographs of students in locations all around Norfolk, this may include village signs, places of interest that really highlight the wonderful county we live in or students in an educational setting
- You can also submit a video of young people singing We Are Norfolk (Call this place Your Own)
Please note: we do not guarantee that all videos and photographs will be used in the finished film. All educational settings will be credited at the end of the video.
