We are thrilled to be able to offer subsidised Beatboxing workshops in your secondary educational setting with world-renowned beatboxer and DJ Midé Naike!
About Midé Naike
Midé Naike is a producer, DJ and professional beatboxer from UK vocal group, The Sons of Pitches. Since winning BBC’s The Naked Choir in 2015, Midé has gone on to complete 5 UK tours, and host Sky1’s Sing: Ultimate A Cappella with Cat Deeley.
Workshops have formed a large part of Midé’s career and over the last decade, he has taught beatboxing to tens of thousands of children and adults in the UK, Hong Kong, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland and Austria. Midé has also competed at Championship level as a Solo beatboxer, as well as the Tag Team category.

Who is this workshop suitable for?
- This workshops are for KS3 students and year 6 students on transition week, attending a secondary setting
The workshops will be led by Midé Naike, who will:
- Provide insight into the history of beatbox
- Give short performances
- Translate the drum kit into the beatbox language
- Provide insight into the ‘illusion’ created by beatboxers
- Lead beatbox battles with attendees
- Give tips on improving stage presence and confidence when performing
- Lead a Q and A session
Is there a cost for these workshops?
- Yes, if you are successful in being allocated a workshop after registering an interest, your educational setting will be charged £100. The rest of the fee for the workshop is subsidised by Norfolk and Suffolk Music Hub.
If I register an interest will I automatically be given a workshop?
- No, workshops will be allocated strategically to cover all areas of Norfolk and Suffolk. You will be informed by Friday 28th February whether you have been successful in securing a workshop for your setting.
- Please note you can only register for one workshop per educational setting.
Can I choose a day and time for the workshop?
- No, workshops will be allocated based on where Midé is working across the county.
How long does each workshop last?
- 60 minutes
